Who is Julian S. Moiwai? I like to say I could be anybody, but that is not the truth - I am me. As a deaf first-generation American born to immigrant parents from Germany and Sierra Leone, I am a proud Peace Corps baby.

Actor
My first love has always been acting. I studied theatre at Durham School of the Arts, where I also explored photography. During my time there, I performed in two main stage productions—playing Orin Dennis in Children of a Lesser God and Captain Keller in The Miracle Worker.

Since then, I’ve acted in national commercials for Amazon and Kay Jewelers, made my film debut in the SXSW-selected short Far West, and recently appeared in Tom Segura’s Netflix series Bad Thoughts.

Videographer / Editor
With 10+ years of professional experience in social media, brand development and video production, I am a digital tech nerd who enjoys creating and developing various contents for social media, pre-concept writing various types of video, filming weddings and acting in commercials and short films. I am currently CEO at Tembo Motion LLC, providing my clients professional services in videography and photography.

Drone Pilot
I hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, which allows me to legally operate unmanned drones for commercial purposes. The certificate reflects my knowledge of the rules and regulations that the FAA has set to integrate the use of drones into the National Airspace System. While following the rules, I value both structure and creativity in my work.

Julian’s Loves
In my free time, I enjoy flying my drone on nice days, watching old movies, dancing to music, hiking with my dogs LuLu and Batman, and spending quality time with my wife Kenia.
