Who is Julian S. Moiwai? I like to say I could be anybody, but that is not the truth - I am me. As a deaf first-generation American born to immigrant parents from Germany and Sierra Leone, I am a proud Peace Corps baby.

Actor
My first love has always been acting. I studied theatre at Durham School of the Arts, where I also explored photography. During my time there, I performed in two main stage productions—playing Orin Dennis in Children of a Lesser God and Captain Keller in The Miracle Worker.

Since then, I’ve acted in national commercials for Amazon and Kay Jewelers, made my film debut in the SXSW-selected short Far West, and recently appeared in Tom Segura’s Netflix series Bad Thoughts.

I am proudly represented by the Collier Talent Agency.

Videographer / Editor
With over 10 years of professional experience in social media, brand development, and video production, I’m a digital tech enthusiast who enjoys creating and developing content for social platforms, as well as handling pre-concept development and scripting for a wide range of video projects. I also film weddings and capture content for a variety of clients.

I am currently the CEO of Tembo Motion LLC, where I provide professional videography and photography services to clients across different industries.

Drone Pilot
I hold an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, which allows me to legally operate unmanned drones for commercial purposes. The certification reflects my knowledge of FAA regulations and safe integration into the National Airspace System. While following the rules, I value both structure and creativity in my work.

My experience includes contributing to a music video for Pedro Sampaio and J Balvin on their 2024 single “PERVERSA,” as well as capturing content at Burning Man.

Julian’s Loves
In my free time, I enjoy flying my drone on nice days, watching old movies, dancing to house music, hiking with my dogs LuLu and Batman, and spending quality time with my wife Kenia.
